Vasiliki Neophytou was born in Bulgaria, where she grew up and studied. Her family were Greek refugees, displaced from Greece, like thousands of families, after the civil war. She married Neophytos Neophytou from Nicosia and has lived in Cyprus since 1981. Vasiliki worked as teacher of Greek literature until 2006, when she retired for health reasons. Although diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, she remains courageous.
With deep love and gratitude for the two countries she has lived, Vasiliki would like to disseminate her book in Cyprus and Bulgaria, especially in secondary schools. She believes it will help both young and old readers to understand about the different stages of love. These include friendship, romantic love, motherly love, cooperation, community, love for animals and nature.
